SWCHC and Britania woods have partnered with Institute for Sustainable Health & Social Impact to bring the High Notes, Clear Minds cannabis harm reduction workshop to Ottawa on June 7th from 3-5 pm. The workshop is aimed at ABC community members 19 years or older.
High Notes, Clear Minds’ is a culturally grounded space for African, Caribbean and Black communities to have informed conversations about cannabis education.
About the Workshop
The High Notes, Clear Minds workshop is a 2 hour, interactive, dialogue-based session designed for groups of 25 participants.
Grounding in history, culture, and community context
Understanding the science of cannabis
Exploring harm and risk reduction strategies
Building practical tools for informed and healthier decision-making
Engaging community reflection and action
Hip Hop is used as both an educational framework and healing practice, meeting people where they are through rhythm, storytelling, and collective dialogue.
Who Is This For?
This workshop is open to Black community members 19 or older who want:
A non-judgmental space to learn and talk honestly about cannabis
Culturally relevant, evidence-informed information
Community connection rooted in care, respect, and empowerment
