Meet the Candidates

Brian Innes

Brian is a community leader, has served on committees at City Hall and for almost two decades he’s worked alongside governments to deliver solutions. He’s led organizations and chaired boards. He’s also served those in need and led volunteers to pick thousands of pounds of fruit for the food bank.

Joanne Chianello

Joanne Chianello is a longtime Champlain Park resident. She worked as a journalist for three decades, including 13 years covering Ottawa City Hall, where she held government to account. Using her hard-earned municipal expertise, she is running to be a strong, independent voice for Kitchissippi at City Hall.

Subhir Uppal

Subhir Uppal is a tech entrepreneur, ethics instructor and dad with an Executive MBA. A lifelong Ottawan, he has spent more than 15 years living in neighbourhoods across Kitchissippi and has held leadership roles with charitable and non-profit organizations, bringing experience in business, governance and community service.

Xavier Commorford

For over 27 years, Xavier has lived, worked, and organized across Ottawa. Xavier brings a practical edge to local government: cut municipal waste and build new revenue sources to fund bold community investments like Free Light Rail and publicly-owned affordable housing.
