Annual General Meeting
What is an Annual General Meeting?
An Annual General Meeting, or AGM, is a mandatory yearly gathering and a key part of the democratic process of a community association. This meeting is an opportunity for the board to talk directly with community members, share the work we’ve been doing and open dialogues about how we can continue to protect and improve our community.
What happens at an AGM?
An AGM is an opportunity for a transparent look at the operations of a community association. At the meeting, we will share all that we have been doing to improve the community over the last year. We will also vote on organization finances, amendments or additions to by-laws, and board seats if required. If you want a better sense, you can see the links below for previous AGM agendas.
Who can attend?
Anyone from the community is invited to attend the meeting. However, if you wish to vote in the meeting, you must be a registered member of the community association. So sign up today if you want to get involved.
When is the next AGM?
The next AGM will take place on Tuesday May 5th at 7:00 PM at the Keith Brown Community Centre.
